With over 42 years of experience, Alvin Rockhill is a patent attorney who has been primarily involved with drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications in the United States and numerous foreign countries. Throughout his career, Mr. Rockhill has drafted and prosecuted to issuance over 800 utility patents in the United States and thousands more in foreign jurisdictions. While his primary focus has been directed to chemical and metallurgical inventions, Mr. Rockhill also has extensive experience with mechanical inventions, biomedical inventions and inventions in other technical fields.
Mr. Rockhill has just completed his twentyfifth year as an adjunct professor at The University of Akron School of Law, where he teaches Patent Prosecution every spring semester. Over the years Mr Rockhill has also taught Patent Law & Policy, Advanced Patent Prosecution, Legal Writing, and classes in international patent law.
